I received this today from the fabulous ladies at The BAP Society

Celebrate Spring

1. Clean your closet and then go shopping! It’s time for a new season and new attitude! No need to hold onto those old spring clothes that turned into last summer’s wardrobe. Give to the Salvation Army. Get inspired online looking at high end items from http://www.bloomingdales.com/, http://www.exluxury.com/, http://www.net-a-porter.com/ or http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/ and then mix and match your inspired looks on a budget that’s right for you. You might find similar looks at your favorite vintage shop!

2. Pick up a new sport. Yoga, Pilates http://www.pilates.com./ or Kick Boxing is a great way to release negative or old energy. Tighten up your muscles before summer gets here! Yoga and Pilates can be done at home on off days or before you get up that cardio sweat at the Gym. You just might decide to buy that Total Home Gym after watching yet another Christy Brinkley and Chuck Norris infomercial. If you want to keep it sexy then grab a chair (or pole) and join Carmen Elektra for an aerobic strip tease http://www.aerobicstriptease.com/

3. Eat right! Try fruit you don’t usually have. Mangos and pear make a nice breakfast. Try banana’s with a lil’ chocolate syrup on top if you need an after dinner treat. Watch what you eat, a high sodium intake equals bloat – cut down on the soda and the salt to lose the belly fat. Whole Foods has some great free information on their bulletin boards, more about the value of natural foods or see more here: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/products/produce/list_veg.html

4. Plan your summer vacation now! Use your frequent flyer miles or book early and save on package deals. Spend the spring making sure this will be vacation you’ve ever had. Learn a new language, buy a travel book and check out your destination online. Do some homework to make the most of your time off. Whether it’s Miami or Costa Rica there are so many great places to go and a little planning can take you a long way. Can’t make up your mind? Learn more about travel at http://www.fodors.com/ or http://www.frommers.com/

5. Have A Spa Day. Try a seaweed wrap or a facial. A sugar scrub will slough off the dead skin on your thighs and butt (those area’s you have been sitting on all winter). This is a great time to start waxing those areas you’ve been hiding. If you are brave enough, it’s worth the pain! http://www.spafinder.com/ has detailed information on Spa’s all over the Country, spend a little time day dreaming of relax-ation!

6. Get out of the house! Spend some time with people you haven’t seen. Learn to listen and but also share stories with a friend who needs to burst into laughter. Plan a daytime date with that special someone you’ve been eye balling. Check out http://www.fusicology.com/ and plan to see the latest cool touring Artist in town. Not in a group outing mood? Well then go solo to your local Starbucks, grab a Ventti Soy Chai Tea Latte and just people watch.

7. Redo your cosmetics. As the temperature changes, so does our skin. Is your skin dry or oily? Red, brown or yellow? Which ever the case make sure your foundation and blush are matching up to your true colors as you peel the layers off. Take a minute to sample which products work best for you. If your not clear on technique, we have you covered. Check out our Beauty blog from Maybelline or stop by the next Bobbie Brown or Mac counter you can get to. Mac has a new concealer that includes 4 shades in 1 compact. What a great tool for your dark spots or uneven skin tone. One last tip: Try a tooth whitener like Crest White Strips or plan a Zoom date with your Dentist; http://www.whitestrips.com/en_US/whitestrips_choices/index.jsp to get your teeth nice a white.

8. Look at a lighter Handbag for spring. Tired of the darker winter leathers? Check out a mixed fabric Coach Bag or Kenneth Cole. A hobo never goes out of style and comes in many sizes and fabrics. You can also lighten up your lap top bag with a straw tote alternative. http://www.kennethcole.com/, http://www.coach.com/

9. Get your pedicure and sandal game right. Make sure you aren’t starting off the season with beat up soles from last year’s sandals. A good investment is to buy more than a few pairs of colorful flip flops from http://www.gap.com/ or http://www.oldnavy.com./ Buying more and wearing less will give your treads light wear so you’re always fly!
